Field Service Engineer (Caribbean)

Position Summary:
Develop customer service relationships and ensure the accuracy and precision of all installations and conduct as needed product application analysis and analyze and present this information along with recommendations on product installation processes to Sales/Marketing, R&D and Manufacturing. Essential Functions:

Assist Field Sales with assessing performance on Company’s RO membranes at customer’s site and respond to customer requests for projections using in-house projection software.

Working directly with customers on site to ensure that all Company’s membranes are installed accurately and performing to company standard. Start-up and commissioning coordination of RO membranes sold by company.

Assume lead role in trouble shooting product performance issues and overseeing the companies after-market business and Membrane Service Contracts

Manage customer relations and service on warranty claims

Lead installation operations, ensure accuracy and timeliness of data collection and logistical handling of pilot systems.

Liaison and key interface with Company technical and regional sales teams and clients including OEM’s, End Users, Government Officials, Consulting Engineering Firms

Recommend and manage field based subcontractors/consultants used by the Company

Develop and conduct customer education on technical aspects of product and lead role in technical issue resolution

Assume role as field technical expert in sales and marketing presentations to potential customers.

Define and communicate customer product requirements to R&D for enhancement of customer satisfaction

Qualifications:
Required:
-
(4) year college degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of 5 years working in or with customers SWRO plants.

Experience working directly with customers on site.

Demonstrated ability to determines customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.

Ability to travel to customer sites.

Fluent in Spanish and English.
Desirable:

Field based Technical Expert in related field

B.S in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
General Skills/Abilities: Proven attention to detail, excellent organization, strong written and verbal English communication skills. Competent in Microsoft office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements: Standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, light lifting up to 50 pounds, computer operation, frequent travel if/as required by air/rail/auto, ability to work in office and manufacturing environment.
